Kajol to start working with Hubby for Taanaji in Mumbai

Ajay Devgn is currently working on his upcoming periodic drama 'Taanaji: The Unsung Warrior' at Filmistan Studios, Goregaon. Kajol will be seen in hubby Ajay Devgn's upcoming project. The actress is slated to make a guest appearance in the movie and she will be seen playing the character of his wife. The real-life couple would make an appearance on-screen together after a decade.    

Adding to it, Saif Ali Khan would be featured as the prime antagonist Udayban Rathore. The periodic drama has already begun the shoot earlier this month and Kajol too has joined the crew.

A source informed DNA, "Kajol has begun shooting in Mumbai, from yesterday. When she was approached for the film, she felt it's a perfect script for her, since she already has strong Marathi base."

The current year being Kajol's 26th comeback in the industry, she has been assigned with a small yet prominent part in the periodic drama. "It's not a typical role. Her character stands tall and strong right beside her warrior husband," added the source.        

The film would be directed by Om Raut and he mentioned that she would be 'apt' for the role. The source further added, "Kajol and Ajay had been wanting to do a film for a long time. They kept getting fan mail and messages to reunite on screen. So, when Om was thinking of a heroine for the part, he immediately asked Ajay to bounce the idea off to Kajol."
