It's Mr and Mrs Devaiah in web series 'Smoke'

For the longest time Gulshan Devaiah has succeeded in keeping his personal life private. But seems like a web series has managed a coup of sorts by getting the actor to share screen space with his wife Kallirroi Tziafeta in an upcoming web series titled 'Smoke'.

Gulshan's wife Kallirroi in a guest appearance on the show has been paired with her husband in the gritty and dark crime drama series set in the underbelly of Goa. 

Apparently the story needed Gulshan, who plays a Bihari gangster, to get intimate with a foreigner. And as the casting team searched for the right actor to fit that bill, it was the director Neel Guha and producer Faisal Mallik who jumped at the opportunity to cast the husband and wife together. Kallirroi was last seen in 'Dil Dhadakne Do', 'Caravan' (Karwaan) and 'Omerta'.

But Gulshan wasn't sure how Kallirroi would react at the proposition so asked the director to speak to her directly. "Don't route this through me I told Neel Guha. Maybe she will jump at the idea of getting intimate with me on screen maybe she won't" says Gulshan with a mischievous smile. 

"I was really excited to be working with Kallirroi. I thought it would be fun to be sharing an intimate romantic scene with her on camera. And it was fun because here I was in full character as a Bihari gangster. I think it was great role play" adds Gulshan with a half-smile trying hard to keep a straight face. 

Gulshan Devaiah, who has two film releases scheduled for later this year 'Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota' and 'Commando 3', will soon be seen in 'Smoke' - a web series featuring an ensemble cast releasing digitally on October 26th, 2018.
