Kajol's is busy as a bee these days as her new movie Helicopter Eela is right around the corner. She is playing the role of a mother who is loving and caring but at the same time wants to control everything her child does. As
Kajol has had a journey of decades in this industry, she revealed a few details in a recent interview with PTI.
Talking about a few films she did in her recent career, she said that they took a toll on her. The initial films she did, like Dushman, Bekhudi, were emotionally taxing and had a deeper effect on her mind. As she recalled, while shooting for Bekhudi, she opted out of a rape scene as it made her uncomfortable.
Then she remembered the time, when King Khan asked her to work on her acting skills. She said,"I remember having a conversation during Baazigar with
Shah Rukh Khan and he told me, I should learn how to act and I was like, 'I am doing so fabulously well'. He told me I need to burn out as an actor, I felt, 'he talks nonsense sometimes.'"But when I was shooting for Udhar Ki Zindagi, I was like, 'I can't do films that are so heavy, it sucks so much out of you'. I did not want to do that anymore." And it was during the filming of Udhar Ki Zindagi that she felt the burnout in a weird way.
That was a great advise from a fellow actor and
Kajol went on to do many films with
Shah Rukh Khan. Her most recent with him being Dilwale, she has learnt a lot from the megastar. The duo went on to do some phenomenal work like Dil Wale Dulhania Le Jaenge, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and many more. Her recent movie Helicopter Eela has been postponed and is now shelved to be released on October 12.
