Janhvi Kapoor is a perfect combo of a Diva & a Promising Debutant

The much-awaited release of the year - Dhadak has hit the theatres today. Accepted that the film carries a baggage of living up to the original film (Sairat) and also not hampering the debut of debutants Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khattar, Dhadak is a soulful drama which gives a decent ode to the original film.

Having said that, Janhvi Kapoor has left us impressed with her performance in the film. Until now, we were in awe of her fabulous dress sense and the good looks but now Kapoor has put up a promising foot in the Bollywood industry when we talk about acting.

She had an immense burden on her shoulders, to not disappoint her star mother Sridevi who passed away earlier this year. If not letting her mother's legacy down was less of an obstacle, Janhvi belonging to the Kapoor family whose most of the members have done a remarkable job in the Hindi cinema was also a pressure.

While we are talking about criticism and hindrances, I cannot forget to mention the popular Nepotism remark that Janhvi has been constantly facing. Right after the film's trailer was released, Janhvi was downright trolled by the audience and upsetting remarks like 'She had it easy because of her family name' started coming in.

In Dhadak, Janhvi makes you delve into the story only with her eyes. Her act in one of the scene where stands up against her powerful politician father to save her first love by placing a gun pointing at her, makes you realize how critically she has examined the character that she is playing and got into his skin. 

While you may find her emotional at places but her overall performance in the film compensates for that. However, her last scene where she has perfectly hold on to the emotions makes her a true winner as a debutant. 

All in all, with the release of Dhadak, I'm convinced that she is not a style diva of Bollywood but also a true star in making who has the potential to become a successful example of a celebrity star kid.
