Shahid Kapoor walks out of Imtiaz Ali's film; this Actor REPLACES him!

Shahid Kapoor got one of his best hits in Bollywood with Imtiaz Ali directorial 'Jab We Met'. The film went on to become a massive success and is now a cult film. It has been more than 10 years and the fans are yet awaiting the association of Shahid and Imtiaz.

Earlier this year Shahid Kapoor at an event had confirmed that he will be doing a film with Imtiaz Ali very soon and looked pretty excited about it. 

This film was supposed to go on floors last month but Shahid wasn't available and he then had revealed to a leading daily that the shoot of this film will commence only by next year i.e 2019.

Now if a report in Pinkvilla is to be believed then Shahid has reportedly walked out of this project and Rajkummar Rao has replaced him.

A source close to this project informed the website, "Shahid Kapoor was very excited about this film. He even gave a look test for this in November, last year. But then after that things didn't fall into place. There were some issues with the script and both Shahid and Imtiaz decided to put the movie on the backburner. However, now Shahid has completely pulled out of the movie. He has told Imtiaz that he cannot do it and has taken up other projects too. Imtiaz has accepted this decision and there are no ill feelings between the actor and the director".

The source further revealed, "Imtiaz's movie is a two-hero project. So earlier, Shahid Kapoor was cast along with Rajkummar Rao. Now that Sasha is not doing the movie at all, Rao has stepped into Kapoor's role and the hunt for a replacement for Rao's original role is on. Meanwhile, Imtiaz is also working on the script and the changes it requires after Shahid Kapoor walking out of it and to suit the personality of Rajkummar Rao".
