Aishwarya Rai Bachchan received THIS kind of Invitation from Sonam

Since many years now, stories of cold-war between Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Sonam Kapoor have ruled the headlines. However, despite rivalry, what we hear now, is that the bride-to-be, Sonam has "personally" invited Aishwarya for her Wedding.

The two actresses have now buried their hatchet and embraced each other with open arms, after all, its a moment of happiness and it's always better to let bygones be bygones.

A close source has been quoted by PinkVilla, "Last week, when Sunita Kapoor bumped into Aishwarya at the wedding reception of Saudamini Mattu, the niece of designer Sandeep Khosla, she made it a point to greet her warmly and personally invited her for her daughter's wedding.

After a couple of days, Sonam also called Aishwarya and invited her. They chatted for a few minutes after which Aishwarya graciously accepted the invitation. While the younger Bachchans (Aishwarya, Shweta Nanda and Abhishek Bachchan) have been invited by Sonam too, the older ones have also been invited by both Anil and Sunita.

Weddings are special moments, it's a time to have fun and forget the past and everybody is doing just that for Sonam's wedding. Abhishek has worked with her in two films - Delhi 6 and Players and both are good friends."

For those unaware, contention between the two actresses started back in 2009; when L'Oreal announced Sonam as it's face. However, Aishwarya continues to be it's International face.

However, after becoming the brand ambassador, Sonam spoke about walking the Cannes red carpet and this irked Aish as she was representing the brand Internationally for so many years. She expressed her displeasure over the younger actress gracing the French Riviera. The brand as well later, confirmed that only Aish will be representing the brand at the Cannes.

This act didn't go down well with Sonam, who was deeply hurt on missing out the golden opportunity. In an interview, she was apparently quoted saying, "Aishwarya is an aunty from another generation."

Despite Sonam calling Aishwarya an "aunty", the latter chose not to react and maintained her dignified silence. Later, Sonam all the reports by saying that "she was misquoted".

As the saying goes, 'patience is the key to paradise', in 2011 Sonam got her share of walking the Cannes red carpet along with Aishwarya. Their dresses at the Cannes red carpet, since then has become a topic of discussion among the Indian as well as global media.
