Abhishek Bachchan speaks on his 2 years break post Housefull 3

Abhishek Bachchan was last seen in Sajid-Farhad's Housefull 3 in 2016. Post that, the actor took a long 2 -years break from the film industry.

But, the actor is back with Anurag Kashyap's Manmarziyan along with the actress Taapsee Pannu and Vicky Kaushal in the lead role.

When the film went on floors, he had posted, "Possibly the scariest chair to sit on as of right now. It's taken over 2 yrs to get back onto it."

However, he has wrapped up the film now but, while speaking to Film Companion about the sabbatical and said, "I didn't do any work for 2 years in terms of acting. I needed to reboot. I felt there was a sense of complacency that had crept into my work ethic. I was making more money than I had in my entire career but you have to ask yourself, is this what you want to be remembered for? I just need to go back to doing work that scares me."

"Manmarziyan" is a romantic drama directed by Anurag Kashyap and written by Kanika Dhillon. The film is jointly produced by Phantom Films and Aanand L. Rai's Colour Yellow Productions. It is a love story set in Punjab, India which is set to release on September 7, 2018.
