The Dance Guru of Bollywood Saroj Khan has landed herself in a controversy regarding her comment on the casting couch scenario in Bollywood. In recent times, many shocking details have come out about the casting couch from a handful of celebrities.

The celebrity choreographer was present at a press conference where she made some startling statements when she was asked to give her opinion about the Telugu actress Sri Reddy's protests against sexual exploitation of women, where she stripped and took to the streets. Khan expressed, "Government ke log bhi karte hain. Tum film industry ke peeche kyun pade ho? Woh kam se kam roti toh deti hai. Rape karke chhod toh nahi deti. (It happens in the Government as well. The film industry provides them a livelihood and doesn't abandon someone after raping them)".

While this came as a shocker to most of us, Saroj Ji was quick enough to later quip that it totally depends on the girl if she wants to give in or not and that if someone has art and talent, she will not need to undergo casting couch. Defending Bollywood she also stated, "Film industry ko kuch mat kehna, woh humaara mai-baap hai (Don't utter a word against the film industry, the industry is our parents".

And too much obviousness, Khan's comments didn't go well on social media and there was a sort of outrage too. So much so that people accused her of defending sexual harassment of women. Reacting to the backlash, Khan stated to BT, "I've said I am sorry, I am sorry, I am sorry! The media should also listen to the question that was asked to me in that press conference. I didn't justify or defend anything. These are the words used by the media. All I said was why is the film industry targeted always? Casting couch exists everywhere. But again, I am sorry. I don't want to say anything else".

Actress Richa Chadda who is known to be quite vocal about her opinions came in Saroj Ji's defense and in a series of tweet voiced her opinion. Here:
