In a recent Interview when we asked Ileana on how did she get her role in "Raid", she said, "Ajay was the one who told me about this film on the first day of promotion of "Baadshaho". He told me there's role in it, not a very long one but, a nice one and a good film just, see what you think.

But, he took me aside and said that this is a film that you need to think about. He also said that the role is really good but, not a lengthy one. He requested me to listen to the script and then take a decision. No matter how big the star is but, if your content is not great, it's definitely not going to work. I just feel that content really matters and this film had that.

She further talked about her character in the film who is spunky and speaks what she wants to. However, she also mentioned that she would not like to do such roles that can be done by anyone. "Malini is very spunky and says what she has to and she is equal to her husband and that says a lot considering the film is rooted in the early 80s. There are certain dialogues of mine in the film which are very cool and I cannot divulge them now if the censor board doesn't take it out. (Laughs) But, she is really very cool and it's a kind of a conversation that any wife would be very comfortable with her husband to talk. A fun and memorable role for me. As far as roles are concerned, I wouldn't want to do a role that anyone could do," said Ileana.

"I have not really played an actual person on the screen except for maybe some film that was based on certain people. I would like to keep the idea of fiction attached to it. I have the leeway of just focusing and relying on my writer and putting my own mind to it. I try not to overthink and not to do research and take other's perception," added Ileana.

Ileana revealed that she thoroughly enjoyed playing the negative role in Baadshaho and said it's kind of boring playing the good girl. "It's really nice when its unexpected and playing a character that was manipulative was lots of fun. In fact, I cried when I finished the film. Thankfully, times have changed when a typical negative person does not wear red lipstick and red nail polish and smokes a cigarette. It needs to be well-written and should be more intellectually bad as opposed to visually bad,"
