Charge Sheet Filed Against Ness Wadia for Harassing Ex Preity Zinta

Actress Preity Zinta had registered a molestation complaint against ex-boyfriend Ness Wadia during an Indian Premier League (IPL) match. Now, after four years, Mumbai Police has made a development in this case by filing a charge sheet against Ness on Tuesday.

As per a report in Indian Express, "According to a senior official, the charge sheet was filed against Wadia under Sections 354 (assault or criminal force to deter public servant from discharge of his duty), 506 (criminal intimidation) and 509 (word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman) of the Indian Penal Code".

The molestation incident had taken place in May 2014 during an Indian Premier League (IPL) Match. In June 2014, Preity had lodged a complaint against Ness at the Marine Drive police station. The court had later released Ness on a bond of Rs 20, 000.

Back in 2014, as a proof of her complaint, Preity had submitted four photographs, which showed bruise-like marks on her right arm, to the police. Zinta had stated that these marks were caused when Wadia had grabbed her right arm with utmost force at the Garware Pavilion.

Preity's husband Gene Goodenough had then sent an email to the police in favour of Preity's claims. Gene was a witness to the situation and had intervened between Ness and Preity while asking Ness to not misbehave with a woman.

However, Wadia had rubbished the claims made by former girlfriend Preity Zinta.
