Vidya Balan shares her thoughts on her journey in Bollywood

However, her last two films, "Begum Jaan" and "Kahaani 2" didn't work that well but, was appreciated much for her performance. Her latest released film "Tumhari Sulu" has been a talk of the town for many since its release.

In the movie, she plays the role of a married woman whose dreams are colourful and lively. She plays the role of an RJ in the film.

Talking about how she feels as the film has received a positive response, Vidya told a leading daily, "There was a point I started believing that may be a married actress can't score a hit. But the love Tumhari Sulu is getting has proved it wrong. The films, I did before this, were probably not successful in building the connection with the audience. It is a personal movement of glory for me. The actor part of me is as precious to me as a married woman part of me."

She further talked about failures from the past that has helped her now. Vidya said, "Success and failures are a part of life. Every day is not a Sunday. The only thing as an artist I can do is to keep moving forward, keep working hard and keep growing. The joy is in learning. Failures help me rise."

The actress received the Star Screen Awards for Best Actress for her performance in Tumhari Sulu. Speaking about the importance of awards and appreciation of it in her life. She said, "Awards matter to me. And I have always been joking about it that 'if you win, awards do matter to you'. I love when people appreciate my hard work and dedication. With Tumhari Sulu the appreciation I am getting matters more. Recognition and acknowledge is always special for me."
