I lied, I am not in town when I got a call for Secret Superstar.

I got a call from Advait Chandan,post the release of Bajrangi Bhaijaan. Early morning around 8:30 he told me that I am working on a film with Aamir Khan Productions for one of the protagonist, can you meet me today? I thought someone was playing a prank on me and I couldn't believe it. It was my dream to work with Aamir Khan. I lied to him that I am not in town as I wanted to be sure if it's true then I don't want to go to meet Advait all messed up. I met him the next day, heard the script and took some time to ask my family and friends. They advised me you will be counted into a stupid one if you let go this film and the same evening I message him that I am doing this film and ready to give as much as I can.

No, I am freaky...I am anxious, crazy and comic. My energies are very up and down. I can't stay in one place for more than 10 minutes and when I am at home I am always jumping. Advait had to calm me down every time because I am not this controlled person and I am a true Gemini. I have many shades to my personality sometimes I can be emotional, unpredictable or optimistic and who is in control of herself.

When I went for the readings I felt I am like I am back to my school days. When I entered to work with Aamir Khan's team and I felt like they are so intellectual whereas I am not a serious actor but, while working with them I found myself more focused. The kind of films he (Aamir) makes is absolutely different and people don't touch such concepts.

Not constantly, but he was there when he was required. He knows and is very sensible where the actor or the graph is going wrong. He also enacted my scenes many a time and showed me. That's his dedication. And what I have learned from him is the way he respects his art. It's beautiful to him passion towards it and is something that everybody should learn.

I was not nervous, I just have a lot of respect for him. I don't know from where that term (Perfectionist) has come. I just feel he is very honest and dedicated. He is very much consumed with his work but, in a good way. I wish I could be so much consumed but, I am not that dedicated.

I lost my mom due to cancer and whenever I used to shoot I always felt like my mom was around me. So many times I felt like I have picked up many nuances of her body language to her reactions in every particular conversation and the vibe of the character form her. She was the closest person I had in my life more than my father.

She is a very blessed child which she doesn't know. She is very young to understand that. Her energy is very infectious. I have had a ball on the sets but, you won't see that in the film. She mimics few personalities and one is that of an 'Angry Bird' character. I have laughed for hours whenever she used to enact it and have been scolded that, I have not been taking my work seriously.

The credit goes to Advait and his writing skills. He wrote the script so beautifully that it doesn't hurt the sentimentd of anyone. He touched the issues without hurting anyone. The intention of the film is only - Don't do this and not let this thing happen around you.
