GOLMAAL is a Joke well told: Kunal Khemu

The Golmaal film franchise has been an audience favourite in the comedy genre and its each instalment has something fresh and hilarious to offer to the audience.

It's difficult to maintain such consistency especially in today's time when the audience needs content driven films where any sort of senseless drama or comedy is highly criticised. Amidst all this, Golmaal has managed to sustain the level of humour expected.

In a recent interview, when asked Kunal Khemu about why Golmaal is the most successive franchise in Indian Cinema, he states, "I think Golmaal is a joke that is well told. You can't have a bag of 100 jokes and then think let's make a film because I have 100 funny jokes, there are lot of things that go behind just the dialogues. It's the director who has a vision, the visual form matters which Rohit Shetty brings out the best".

He further adds, "The director needs to make sure what looks funny on the paper should look funny on screen as well. Then you need actors who will come and tell that joke properly. That's when we come in and I think Golmaal is intact when it comes to team effort. Golmaal is one such film where all the co-ordination has worked perfect and hence is loved by the audience".

Kunal who was a part of Golmaal 3 says the franchise has got better with Golmaal Again now.

Golmaal Again is slated to release this Diwali on the 20^th of October and stars Ajay Devgn, Tabu, Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade and Parineeti Chopra in the lead roles.
