Salman literally had to convince Akshay for casting this TV actress?

Salman is a man with a golden heart and he has helped a lot of new comers to kick off their career in the industry be it Sooraj Pancholi, Daisy Shah, Palak Mucchal or Himesh Reshamiya.

And now, the latest name to join this list is TV actress, Mouni Roy who is supposed to debut opposite Akshay Kumar in his upcoming movie 'Gold'.

But wait did you know who actually suggest her to Akshay Kumar? Well yes, it was none other than Salman Khan!

Mumbai Mirror quoted a source saying, "Salman made Daisy the lead actress in Jai Ho and has launched the singing career of Iulia Vantur. He has seen Mouni's work and he feels she deserves a break on the 70mm. Salman spoke to someone from the unit of Gold and got her an audition. Of course, Mouni did well, subsequently bagging the part."

If sources are to be believed , Salman met her at his Panvel farmhouse and he was more than overwhelmed to see her sheer dedication towards her Bollywood aspirations and that's when he decided to either launch or help her in the same.

Talking about 'Gold', the film has already gone on the floors and currently Akshay, Mouni and the entire team is in London for the shoot. The film also stars Kunal Kapoor, Amit Sadh and Sunny Kaushal.
