#Confirmed: Fatima Sana Shaikh to star in 'Thugs of Hindostan'

Producer Aditya Chopra's 'Thugs of Hindostan' which was announced last year stars Aamir Khan and Amitabh Bachchan. Reports were making rounds that the makers have been hunting for a lead heroine for the film. They even approached Vaani Kapoor and Alia Bhatt for the same. However, things didn't work out.

Finally, the search for an actress ends! The makers have locked in 'Dangal' actress Fatima Sana Shaikh for the film. The film's production company 'Yashraj films' officially announced the news today.

Vijay Krishna Acharya, director of 'Thugs of Hindostan' said that "The role of the girl is pivotal to the film so it was crucial for us to find the perfect fit. Through a rigorous round of auditions and action workshops, we found in Fatima a truly dedicated actor and a gifted performer of the action. We are very happy to have found the perfect girl for our film."(sic)

Fatima Sheikh had received heaps of praise for her performance in 'Dangal'. Once again, she will be seen sharing screen space with Aamir in 'TOH'.

This is the second time Vijay Krishna Acharya (Victor) will be directing Aamir Khan after the blockbuster Dhoom 3. Thugs of Hindostan unites Amitabh Bachchan and Aamir Khan onscreen for the first time and promises to be a larger than life, grand cinematic experience.

The film will go on the floor from June 1 this year and is slated to release in Diwali, 2018.
