Ankit Tiwari 'rape case': FINAL VERDICT is out!

Bollywood singer Ankit Tiwari has been vindicated by the special women's court who was charged with raping a 28-year-old woman in 2014. Reportedly, the prosecution stated that Ankit, under the pretext of marrying the woman, raped her between October 2012 and December 2013. However, the court failed to prove the charges against the singer and gave him the clean chit!

When asked about the same, Ankit was quoted saying, "I feel relaxed." (sic)

He even said that he wanted to tell everyone his side of the story but decided to wait for court's decision. He said, "Initially, jab bhi mauka mila toh laga mein media aur fans sey baat karoon aur bataoon apni baat, but I thought let the verdict come out, or else you never know some wouldn't have believed me. I always had faith in the Indian judicial system. I'm feeling relieved after the [verdict]. Also, I never let it affect my work." (sic)

The singer also showed his gratitude towards his fans and the industry members how they stood by him, he said, "When family, friends, fans and the people in your professional life are supportive, it helps. I was lucky that way. I met Mahesh [Bhatt] saab yesterday, and he in his own style of congratulating me, said, 'Aap sidhe log ho, mujhe pata tha aap ke saath sahi hoga.' Tigmanshu Dhulia and Anubhav Sinha ney bhi good wishes bheje." (sic)

While concluding he talked about his mother who has immense faith in him, he said, "The most important person was my mother (Suman Tiwari). She believed in me and, after yesterday, I proved to be her rightful son." (sic)

The singer has crooned hits like 'Sun Raha Hai Na Tu', 'Dil Cheez Tujhe Dedi', 'Galliyan', Tu Hai Ke Nahi' and more!
