Deepika Padukone gets INJURED, postpones her shoot for 'Padmavati'!

Sanjay Leela Bhansali's upcoming film 'Padmavati' is left in a state of turmoil. Since the time, the ace filmmaker began shooting for the film last year, he has been constantly facing difficulties.

Earlier, SLB had to face the flak from members of Rajput Karni Sena who alleged that the historical facts have been distorted in the film. Also, the film's sets were vandalized and burnt in Jaipur and Kolhapur.

The director had also increased the security on Padmavati's sets to ensure a peaceful shoot of the film. And now, another obstacle has surfaced for the makers. Film's lead actress Deepika Padukone who essays the role of Rani Padmavati is reported to have injured her back.

A popular tabloid quoted a source informing, "She was suffering from acute pain when she arrived on set. Initially, she started reading her scenes and was going through her costumes. But as the day progressed, she started feeling more uncomfortable. The doctor on set advised her to rest for the next few days and avoid exertion. Her costumes are particularly heavy and she is currently in no state to be wearing them." (sic)

However, Shahid Kapoor who essays the role of Raja Rawal Ratan Singh in the film continued to shoot for his parts.

"Both Shahid and Bhansali understood her situation and agreed to cancel her part in the shoot for the day. She has been advised complete rest for the next three days, along with some neck exercises.

She will be back on the set only on Monday", the source quoted further. (sic)

It is yet to be known if Deepika got hurt the while shooting or during her rigorous workout sessions.

The film is slated to release in November this year.
