Be smart, holiday in Indian currency-rich places

New Delhi, March 27 (IANS) As India gears up for its new financial year, people can get deeply engrossed with financial planning, leaving little thought for the holiday season. But ensure making smart international travel plans, and opt for locations like Costa Rica and Zimbabwe where Indian currency holds a strong value.

Skyscanner, a global travel search engine, has listed international destinations where you can have a budget-friendly time out. The list has been drawn using search details and pricing data from over 50 million global users.

* Costa Rica: Figuring among the top in the world's happiest countries in 2016, Costa Rica can make the Indian traveller truly very happy. The exchange rate favours the Indian currency and November is the cheapest time to book travel to the exotic country. The paradise country takes any traveller by surprise with its spotless accessibility as tourists can travel from coast to coast in barely three hours by car and indulge in exciting escapades like snorkeling, surfing, canopy touring, snorkeling, kayaking, Jet Skiing or even rafting.

* Zimbabwe: Plan a holiday in the haven of wildlife and be astounded as the Indian rupee lets you be lavish during it all. To make more within the budget, book in February for the best air fare. Be prepared to be mesmerised by the mighty Victoria Falls, the world's largest curtain of water in the world, its renowned national parks and World Heritage-listed archeological sites. * Sri Lanka: Sri Lanka is ideally placed in the Indian subcontinent, allowing easy and affordable holidays to Indians. The proximity and favourable currency exchange rate makes it perfect to visit any time. However, May and June are the cheapest time to book.
