Gurmeet Choudhary OPENS UP about parenthood!

Gurmeet Choudhary and wife Debina Bonerjee recently become proud parents of two. The couple adopted two little girls Pooja and Lata from Gurmeet's hometown in Bihar!

Earlier, the actor had given a statement that the two girls will be joining them in Mumbai after a year, as it would be difficult for them to adjust to the city life quickly!

And recently, in an interview with an entertainment portal, the actor spoke at length about his 'feelings of fatherhood'. When Gurmeet was asked to comment on his new innings as a parent, he said, "A lot has already been said about the same, many articles have been up everywhere. We (Gurmeet and Debina) gave a very short statement on the same after which we tried to keep things low profile and didn't come out in public or media!" (sic)

He adds, "This idea was in my mind since a long time. When we talk about girls or orphan kids, I don't see any solution for it. We as actors go in front of them, meet them, dance for them, entertain them, but is that the solution? Will they be staying in an orphanage for rest of their lives? What is their future?" (sic)

And the best part of the statement is here. Gurmeet continued, "Aisa bilkul bhi nahin hain, me clear kardena chahta hoon ki hum apne bachche nahin chahte ya bachche ho nahin rahe hain, aisa bilkul bhi nahai hain (laughs)." (sic)

He concluded, "But I was clear that I wanted to adopt two girls for whom we can provide good education, who can get to wear good clothes, get good food and marriage should also be good. If we can provide such things to two girls then think about how much their next generation will be secured! And I'm very happy that after our initiative to adopt kids, many others from my field have come forward for this good cause. There are two-three people in our industry, I won't tell you the names as you will get to know it soon, but they also want to adopt a child! I think if people come forward for such things no one will remain an orphan or they will get good homes for themselves!" (sic)

Gurmeet and Debina have for sure set a very good example for many celebrities and commoners.
