Recently, Vidya had a rather strange encounter with a fan at the Kolkata airport. A fan wanted to click selfie and the actress happily obliged but what happened next was completely unexpected. He tried misbehaving with her.

At first, he came too close to her and put his arms around her without her permission. Vidya immediately said "Don't". But the guy ignored her completely and continued with the same pose until her manager stepped in and sternly asked him to take his hands-off.

However, when Vidya turned towards the camera to pose he slipped his hands on her back and that's when Vidya lost her cool and slammed him.

In a state of anger, Vidya screamed and said: "What do you think you are doing? This is wrong."

Yet again, the fan instead of apologizing asked her for a selfie. And this time Vidya said: "No you can't, behave yourself," and left angrily.

Vidya has been quoted saying, "When a stranger puts an arm around you, be it a man or a woman you get uncomfortable because they are intruding into your personal space. Wee are public figures, not public property."
