Rani Mukerji Set to Make a Comeback

Rani Mukerji has been on a happy sabbatical since her pregnancy and the birth of her child. She has been a full time mom, and wants to give undisputed attention to her daughter, Adira. This December Adira turns one and Rani would be ready to start working again.

Reports in a leading daily suggest that the actress is set to make her come back in Siddharth P. Malhotra's next. The script has already been discussed with Aditya Chopra and he has decided to helm the project.

An insider informs, "Rani plays the central lead in Siddharth's film. Like Mardaani, this one too will deal with a strong social issue. He narrated the script to Adi first and then Rani. They both loved it and Adi will produce the film. Siddharth, Adi and Rani have been meeting and working out the project regarding dates and all."

The source also informs that Aditya Chopra thinks that his wife Rani is perfect for the role. "Once everything gets finalised, the film will roll only mid or in the latter half of next year," the source told a leading daily.

Though Rani's spokesperson hasn't given a final word he said, "Rani will definitely be doing a film next year, but she is currently in the process of reading scripts. As soon as she decides, we will be able to announce it."
