What! Is father Anil Kapoor a hurdle to Sonam's Bollywood career?

With films like Raanjhnaa, Khoobsurat (2014) and Neerja, Sonam Kapoor's filmy career has been sailing reasonably well. It's always been a thought that it's easy for the star kids to gain entry in Bolywood, however, breaking this long time myth, the actress revealed the flip side of the story.

Sonam informed that being a star kid (born to actor Anil Kapoor) she has missed out many film projects. She also shared that Salman didn't want to work with her in 'Prem Ratan Dhan Payo' as he and her father Anil Kapoor are close friends. It was embarrassing for him to romance his friend's daughter.

Stating an instance she said,"My mother and Farah Khan are very good friends but still I haven't done any of her film yet. They have a completely non-work relationship". (sic)

Disagreeing to the fact that it's easy for star kids to enter B-town she said, "Actresses like Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra are not successful because of their background but due to their talent and hard work". (sic)

Striking a similarity between her and Alia Bhatt, she said, "Alia is successful all because of her talent. Just by being a big name, we don't earn victory". (sic)

Sharing her heart out to the media, she says, "I have always been surrounded with kind of people who make me feel that I am associated with a big family. That's the reason why I always try not taking any favour from my dad. This has also made him upset at times. He was of the view that what's the use of him working so much and earning this fame when her daughter wants to do everything on her own."(sic)
