Mumbai, Nov 11 (IANS) Reliance Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group's social networking site, BigAdda, Tuesday announced that its registered user base has crossed the three million mark since its launch in August 2007.

BigAdda has also reported a significant increase in the number of users hailing from tier-II and III towns, a statement issued by the company stated here.

While metros like Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai and others accounted for 50 percent of the users, the rest come from tier-II and tier-III towns like Pune, Nagpur, Chandigarh, Vishakapatnam and Allahabad.

'We are very pleased to reach yet another milestone of three million user base in such a short span of time since its launch. We are actively working towards taking our registered user base to 10 million in India at the earliest,' said Shivanandan Pare, COO, BigAdda.

According to the company, almost 85 percent of the site's registered users are in the age group of 18 to 30 and 32 percent are between 21 to 24 years.

The company plans to launch new innovative products in order to attract new users and retain the old ones.

'Launching BigAdda on mobile recently was a step in this direction which has so far received a great response,' Pare said.
