OMG: Irrfan Khan getting life threatening calls!

Irrfan Khan who made all the Indians proud by working in Hollywood movies such as Amazing Spiderman, Life of Pi and Jurrasic World, has a different perception on religion and faiths. In a recent talk show the actor expressed his views about the religious fundamentalists and other religion related matters.

But it looks like it didn't go well with the religious groups and heads and they asked the Piku actor to stick to acting and not interfere in religious matters!

He talked about a dialogue from his film 'Life of Pi' and explained, "A dialogue from the film says, 'Faith is a house with many rooms.' The other person asks him, 'Is there no room for doubt?' he says, 'Plenty, on every floor. Doubt is a useful thing, it keeps your faith alive. Until and unless you test, your faith is not alive.' That is what I do. I test. I test my teachings and I experience (it) myself , that's how you work on your soul." (sic)

The actor was bold enough to speak his heart out and didn't care about what he has to face after such comments. He said, "To understand it (the faith) I do not need anyone in the middle." (sic) The Maulana who was also present at the talk show replied to this and said, "You need Quran." To that he clarified with an explanation and stated that everyone has its own way of interpreting and understanding the teachings of Quran. Things are interpreted in various ways and sometimes it sends people down the wrong path.

After such a interview by Irrfan he might have imagined already that he will rock the headlines and will be seen on the hit-list of some religious groups.

A report in a leading daily says that the Madaari actor, Irrfan Khan is now getting life threatening calls for his remarks! A colleague was quoted saying, "He is aware of the dangers that his frank-speak poses to him and his family. We are very proud of him." (sic)

P.S: The actor tweeted in reference to threat reports saying, "please do not confuse criticism with threats!!"
