Chandigarh, Aug 5 (IANS) Where yesterday an ayurvedic dispensary functioned in Haryana may very well in the near future have a bustling multiplex.

Uchana town in Jind district, 250 km from here, will now have a multiplex on a one acre plot of land which hitherto housed the dispensary, according to a Haryana cabinet decision Tuesday.

The dispensary functioning at the site has already been shifted to the community health centre in the same town.

The cabinet, which met under Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda here, allowed the proposal of transfer of the land from the state ayurveda department to the Uchana municipal committee. The land would be transferred at a rate of Rs 800,000 per acre.

A government spokesman said the proposed multiplex would provide an income of up to Rs.4 million to the municipal committee at Uchana.
