The movie "Jigariyaa" may have failed to make an impact at the box office. But debutant actor Harshvardhan Deo is basking in all the appreciation that has come his way by filmmakers like Rajkumar Hirani and Tigmanshu Dhulia. He says he is "overwhelmed by their response".
"It is overwhelming and extremely humbling that my first endeavour has been appreciated by these great directors. I hope to keep working hard and improving with every film. I hope I get to work with them," Harshvardhan said.
Appreciating his performance, Hirani, who has helmed popular films like "Munnabhai M.B.B.S" and "3 Idiots", said: "It's rare to see newcomers get a break in this industry as fast as Harshvardhan has. The film seems like an honest film and Harshvardhan seems to have captured the hearts of many. My best wishes are with him."
Dhulia also seems to be impressed with the newcomer.
"Harshvardhan is a very good performer and his acting is effortless and raw. He is a guy who looks like he surrenders himself completely to the character which is why his vulnerability comes through strongly which is unique," said Dhulia.
Directed by Raj Purohit, "Jigariyaa" released Oct 10.
