UTV's broadcast arm bags Promax BDA awards

Mumbai, May 31 (IANS) UTV Global Broadcasting (UGBL), the broadcast arm of UTV Group, has bagged three gold honours at the Promax BDA Awards 2008.

UGBL's three-month-old World Movies channel received the gold award in best movie promo category for the French movie '13 Tzameti'. The awards were announced Friday.

UGBL's Bindaas channel bagged two gold awards in the best launch campaign category for the show '3rd Degree' and 'Bindaas Brand Identity'.

The other Indian channels which received gold Promax BDA awards include SAB TV for best drama promo - 'Left Right Left', Zee TV for best children's programme promo - 'Sa Re Ga Ma Pa- Li'l Champs', MTV India for best infotainment promo - 'On The Job', Zee TV for best special event promo - 'Amitabh B'Day Special', Filmy for best multi-media campaign - 'Bathroom Singer Virals', MTV India for funniest spot - 'Eat This' and INX Media for best on-air channel branding - 9X launch.

Established in 1956, Promax is the world's premier body for promotion and marketing professionals working in broadcast and electronic media. BDA, a sister association to Promax, is the world's leading association of broadcast and multimedia designers.
