Marina Home enters India

New Delhi, Feb 9 (IANS) International home interior and lifestyle brand Marina Home has forayed in the Indian home decor market.

Conceptualised in Dubai in 1998, the brand is known for its avant-garde home furnishing designs.

In India, it was launched with a party Friday night, when a coffee table book, showcasing the history and heritage of the brand, was launched too.

"Marina Home is confident of addressing the needs of the emerging Indian sensibilities which demands niche products and cutting edge design elements to supplement their embryonic lifestyles," Khurshid Vakil, co-founder, Marina Home Interiors Retail Chain -I nternational, said in a statement.

"With the Indian market opening up and starting to accept varied brands and retailers, we think the time is right to introduce our exclusive offerings into the Indian home decor market," he added.

Sugato Bose, country head, Marina Home (India), also feels the brand will prove to be an asset in the Indian luxury market.

"By bringing Marina Home to India we seek to open up a new dimension for exclusive home decor utilities in the widely unexplored Indian home market. The emerging tastes in the Indian market and the growing demand amongst Indian customers have encouraged us to explore this market," said Bose.

The price range for the products is between Rs.250 to Rs.15,75,000
