Haryana murder convicts re−arrested

Gurgaon, Nov 22 (IANS) Two murder convicts who escaped from Bhondsi prison here nearly three months back have been arrested, police said Thursday. They were working as security guards in Rajasthan.

Zile Singh, 27, of Rajasthan's Alwar and Amit Kumar, 24, of Uttar Pradesh's Muzaffarnagar were re−arrested. They had escaped from Bhondsi jail Aug 31, during a cleaning exercise.

They were working as security guards in a private security agency at Rajasthan's Bhiwadi after their escape.

Deputy commissioner of Police (DCP) Maheshwar Dayal told IANS: "We have written to Rajasthan Police to take appropriate action against the security agency as the accused were given job without proper police verification."

Amit was arrested from Bilaspur Chowk at Delhi−Jaipur National Highway here. Later, Zile Singh was arrested from Bhiwadi.
