Designers Gaurav Gupta and Namrata Joshipura paid an ode to the modern women through their collections at the ongoing Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week (WIFW) spring-summer 2013.

Gupta's collection titled "Cathode" showcased outfits, which were heavy on bright colours including pink and orange. And the use of neon and fluorescent lights on stage brought uniqueness to the show. The collection was a sheer bliss for fashion enthusiasts.

"I wanted to give women a more modern approach and that's how the idea of using neon lights came into being. The garments comprises of lot of A-line dresses, sari inspired gowns to lot of jumpsuits. My collection will appeal to all those who want bright and glowing spring this time," Gupta said after the show.

While Gupta emphasized on giving women a brighter look, Joshipura's Gotha collection showcased women in catwoman-style.

"Gotham, a fictional city, is a home to Batman and the cast of colourful characters that inhabit his universe. My girl is one of the denizens of this vibrant and dangerous city. My collection depicts women is glamorous, groomed and sophisticated," said Joshipura.

Her collection managed to grab eyeballs with a range of outfits like dresses, playsuits, peplum tops and wraps.

It personified the connection between fiction and glamour with the ramp being transformed into a superhero's palace and models turning into catwomen as they strutted on the ramp in the collection.
