Shreyas pulls fast one on 'Kamaal Dhamaal...' team (Movie Snippets)

Actor Shreyas Talpade loves to play pranks on his co-stars and unit members. His experience on the sets of "Kamaal Dhamaal Malamaal" was no different.

Taking co-star Nana Patekar and a sporting Shailendra Singh into confidence, Shreyas made the crew members drink karela (bitter gourd) juice.

Calling it his morning ritual for a healthy mind and radiant skin, Shreyas made the unit report to the sets 30 minutes in advance and go through laughter therapy followed by a gulp-down session of karela juice.

The unsuspecting unit members drank the juice only to realise that Shreyas had pulled a fast one on them.

However, the actor didn't know he would end up being a part of the prank himself.

When Shreyas grinned ear to ear, and went back to his cup of coffee, someone had cleverly switched it with karela juice. Not one to be perturbed, Shreyas drank the juice with a straight expression only to have everyone laughing.

When the unit discussed the joke with filmmaker Priyadarshan, he only had one thing to say: "If they have guts, tell them to pull it on Paresh (Rawal)."

SRK, Priyanka adopt villages

Bollywood superstars Shah Rukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra and Aamir Khan have adopted villages as part of the Greenathon campaign to work for its welfare and raise awareness about the environment.

The fourth edition of NDTV-Toyota Greenathon raised Rs.8.89 crore for the benefit of 508 villages. While Shah Rukh adopted 12 villages, Aamir adopted five villages. Greenathon brand ambassador Priyanka adopted two villages and her "Teri Meri Kahaani" co-star Shahid took three villages.

Actors Rahul Bose, Arjun Kapoor, chef Ritu Dalmia and music composer Bappi lahiri adopted a village each.

Actor Milind Soman also contributed towards Greenathon by running a 1500-km Green Run, starting April 20 from Qutub Minar in New Delhi, across five states.

TV big medium to promote films: Akshay

With promotions for his forthcoming film "Rowdy Rathore" in full swing, actor Akshay Kumar will also be taking the small screen route to spread the word about the film.

Akshay, along with his co-star Sonakshi Sinha, will be seen on Sony's detective show "CID".

"TV is a very big medium to promote. It is very wrong on our part to call it a small medium. The reach of TV is enormous," said Akshay.

"CID" has been on air for the past 15 years, and Akshay is among its many fans.

"'CID' inspires me not to do any crime and I think we all should learn that. I love the show and I also watch it sometimes," he added.

Sonakshi Sinha was also happy to promote her movie on the show, which will see the actors performing some stunts.

"Rowdy Rathore" will release June 1.
