Dozakh to debut at Lakme Fashion Week

Mumbai, Feb 24 (IANS) Designer duo Isha-Kartikeya, who owns the label called Dozakh, will make their debut at the Lakme Fashion Week Summer Resort when it opens here March 2.

Regular at the Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week (WIFW), the designers are excited about the event as they feel it will widen their market.

"We have always been showcasing at WIFW but this is the first time we are participating at Lakme. We are Delhi-based designers and by doing this, we will make ourselves available in Mumbai market," Kartikeya told IANS.

"The step will open another window in adding new avenues. Participating in Lakme is more about brand building as we are already retailing from Mumbai and the platform will give a boost," Isha added.

Apart from LFW, the designers are also keeping their fingures crossed for their first Bollywood project "Prague".

"Designing for movies is more fun. Yes, it's essential to understand the demand of the role, but designing for film is enjoyable. By making costumes for movie, you create a character that people will remember," Isha added.

Produced by Glamour Struck Productions, "Prague" will see Chandan Roy Sanyal of "Kaminey" fame in the lead role, while Elena Kazan will make her Bollywood debut with it.
