Karan Grover becomes fitness freak (TV Snippets)

New Delhi, March 31 (IANS) Actor Karan Grover of 'Yahaan Main Ghar Ghar Kheli' has lately become too health-conscious.

Whenever Karan has an early morning shoot, he wears his track suit and sets out for a jog around the sets of the Zee TV show 'Yahaan Main...' in the clean and green Film City.

'We actors have to constantly watch what we eat and have to stay fit. With our hectic schedules and continuous shooting, it becomes very difficult to manage our health,' said Karan.

A source from the sets says Karan follows a strict diet.

'He eats organic food, has plenty of leafy vegetables and fruits and ensures his daily water intake is more than three litres. He also plans to get a yoga trainer on the sets and learn power yoga. He is also keen to learn kickboxing as it will not only help build up physical strength but also improve mental stamina,' said the source.

Ankita Lokhande not comfy doing mean girl role

Popular TV actress Ankita Lokhande, who plays a loving daughter-in-law in Zee TV's 'Pavitra Rishta', threw a few tantrums when she was asked to essay a nasty scene for the show as she did not want to disappoint her fans.

'Archana is the epitome of everything an ideal Indian woman stands for. People have deep faith in her. Women look up to her, admire her, emulate her. I am not about to let thousands of my fans down by shooting a sequence where I am seen to be pushing my mother-in-law into a burning kitchen!' Ankita said when she read the screenplay of the scene, said a source.

The actress refused to shoot initially, but the director finally convinced her.

Though the upcoming developments in the show have been kept under wraps, sources reveal that as per the current track of the show, Nadkarni's character Savita Tai has Alzheimer's and so she is suffering from acute depression and has lost the will to live.

Therefore, Ankita's character Archana will deliberately act in a way to instigate her mother-in-law to bounce back and react in her typical, loud and brash manner.

After featuring in two reality shows - 'Bigg Boss 3' and 'Maa Exchange', item girl Rakhi Sawant's mother Jaya is on a roll.

Jaya had signed a Gujarati movie 25 years ago but couldn't shoot for it due to disapproval from her husband and family. But ever since she has been facing the camera, her confidence has got a new boost.

During the shooting of 'Maa Exchange', Jaya apparently kept asking the production team for extra dialogues, and after the shot, her attitude saw an all-time high too, says a source.
