Bryan Adams expecting baby with Alicia

London, March 15 (IANS) Singer Bryan Adams has confirmed that he is going to be a dad soon.

Adams and his long-time girlfriend and personal assistant Alicia Grimaldi are expecting a child in May, reports contactmusic.com.

'Alicia Grimaldi and I are expecting a baby. She helped me start my foundation years ago and it looks like she'll be running the family now,' he also told Et Canada.

Before confirming the news, the 51-year-old took to twitter to clarify reports about his fatherhood.

He first posted a link to rumours about his impending fatherhood, which had a quote from 'unnamed friend and neighbour' of the star. After that he posted a message saying, 'This article is sort of correct (except for the 'friend' bit).'
