RGV compliments Johar for 'I Hate...' title (Movie Snippets)

New Delhi, June 28 (IANS) Bollywood filmmakers Ram Gopal Verma and Karan Johar are mostly at loggerheads, but for a change RGV has complimented Johar for the title of his upcoming film 'I Hate Luv Storys'.

'Hey Karan 'I Hate Luv Storys' is the best ever title from you. I am really jealous that I couldn't think of it,' Varma posted on Johar's Twitter page.

Johar replied : 'Thanks Ramu!!!'

The two directors have distinctly different styles of filmmaking. While Johar's forte is romantic dramas, Verma is known for his horrors and thrillers and they never fall short of taking a dig at each other often.

Akshay filmed romantic song at Ram Mandir

Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar and southern actress Trisha Krishnan recently shot a song at the famous Shri Ram Mandir in Phaltan, Satara district, Maharashtra for Priyadarshan's next project 'Khatta Meetha'.

Titled 'Sajde Kiye', it is a romantic track. The cast and crew abided by all the rules of the temple, said a source from the sets. No footwear was allowed and the clothes worn for the song were decent. While Trisha was seen in a maroon-coloured, simple lehenga-choli, Akshay too wore an Indian ensemble.

The source also says Akshay had a lot of fun shooting for 'Khataa Meetha' and that he even played a prank on co-star Rajpal Yadav.

'An assistant on the sets had a cool phone which had a unique feature of changing a male voice to a female one. Akshay being the prankster that he is, took this phone and started bombarding Rajpal Yadav with calls.

'He claimed to be a girl from Dubai and kept proposing to the actor. Inspite of poor Rajpal hanging up, Akshay kept at it for a good two-three hours before finally owning up to the prank,' said the source.

Drunk fans disturb Siddharth at odd hour

Southern actor Siddharth, who has featured in Hindi films like 'Rang De Basanti' and 'Striker', says he was shocked to see two drunk men, claiming to be his fans, knocking at his door Monday morning.

'At 2:30 a.m. this morning, two drunks rang my doorbell 50 times and then tried to break down the door, before security came and took them away. They claimed to be fans,' Siddharth posted on micro-blogging site Twitter.

'They said they wanted to see me, take a picture... said fans like them made me, so I better open the door. I feel sick!,' he added.

The actor says he couldn't even sleep after the incident and is extremely disturbed.

'Didn't sleep because I was too shaken up. We've taken precautions so it won't happen again. They are not fans, just drunk 'sickos'. Period. Someone tries to break down your hotel room door at 2.30, it is perverse!

'In 10 years of my career, this has never happened. I am disturbed out of my skin. My family and friends are panicking. I'm going to take very serious steps to make sure this never happens again,' he wrote.

When Aarya Babbar got lost in Sri Lanka

Actor Aarya Babbar lost his way in Sri Lanka on the very first day of shooting for Anees Bazmee's 'Ready'.

The shoot was scheduled at Hotel Cinnamon Lake and Aarya's driver dropped him at Hotel Cinnamon Grand. By the time he realised that he is at the wrong place, the driver had already left and he had to use local transport to reach the sets, said a source close to the actor.

Aarya, who says he was worried because he was getting late, is not complaining.

'There was a whole lot of confusion and the shoot was delayed because of this. The driver dropped me at the wrong location and I had to find my way out and reach the right place. It was my first day of shoot and I hate being late for shoots.

'Luckily, Anees Bazmee and the crew are complete sweethearts and they not only waited for me but were also very worried about me. Now when I think about the entire situation I can't stop laughing as the sight of being dressed up and hunting for a local transport! Must say an eventful start,' said Aarya.

'Ready' also features Salman Khan.

Hrithik inspired Jackky to lose weight

Jackky Bhagnani was overweight in his teens and decided to get into shape after watching Hrithik Roshan in 'Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai'.

'Jackky is a big fan of Hrithik's. Hrithik inspired him to lose weight and take up acting as a serious career choice. He was in awe of Hrithik's performance in his debut and thought he was a fabulous dancer. It was then that he decided to lose weight and managed to lose 60-odd kgs,' said a source.
