Salman's 'Ready' shifts from Mauritius to Colombo (Movie Snippets)

Mumbai, June 14 (IANS) Director Anees Bazmee's Salman Khan starrer 'Ready' will now be shot in Colombo. It was earlier scheduled to be shot in Mauritius.

According to the sources, the location was shifted to Colombo after Salman was charmed by the city's beauty and hospitality of the people during the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) awards there earlier this month.

The film, also starring Southern star Asin Thottumkal, is being produced by T-Series and will go on the floors June 20, said a press statement

Adhyayan lends support for senior citizens welfare

Actor Adhyayan Suman has lent his support to NGO Helpage India's initiative to stop abuses against the elderly in the country.

In order to celebrate the World Elder Abuse Awareness Day Tuesday, Adhyayan accompanied by his father, Shekhar Suman, stressed on the importance of inspiring young people to come forward and join this initiative.

Adhyayan created awareness about how the elderly need attention in a society which is going through a transition where people are opting for nuclear families and as a result, there is lesser security for the elderly.

'I am glad to be associated with this initiative and am happy that my son Adhyayan is sensitive to the needs of the older generation,' Shekhar said in a statement.

Priyadarshan signs Sunny Singh for next

'Dekh Bhai Dekh' fame child actor Sunny Singh, who was recently seen with Shahid Kapoor in 'Paathshaala', is on a high as National Award winning director Priyadarshan has singed him for his next.

'Who says dreams don't come true? When I was training at my gym once my trainer asked me what I wanted to do in the future and I said I want to be launched by Priyan sir someday. At that time, I had never even met him and now four years later, I am actually being launched by him. My dream has come true,' said Singh.

Added Priyadarshan: 'I was discussing a film idea with Kishan Kumar (of T-Series) for which I wanted fresh faces and he suggested I should have a look at Sunny. After meeting Sunny twice on the sets, I decided to cast him as he suited the role to the T.'

Sunny will play the main lead in the college romance.

Who makes blank calls to 'Tere Bin Laden' director?

Debut director Abhishek Sharma, whose has made 'Tere Bin Laden' - a satire on the world's most wanted terrorist Osama Bin Laden, has been receiving mysterious blank calls at night from an unrecognisable number.

'I have been getting blank calls in the middle of the night these days. Not that I am taking them too seriously and not that I am scared, but they (the calls) just end up making me curious. But I am not really trying to find out who it is,' Abhishek told IANS over phone from Mumbai.

What if it's an associate of Osama?

'Now you are scaring me,' he said, and added that he is not worried about the calls as he feels he has been very honest about the content of his film.

'We have been very clear that the film is not insensitive. We have been very cautious with what we have made and I hope everyone takes it in good humour,' he added.
