Sania Mirza & Shoaib Malik to tie knot in April

One of India's top tennis player - Sania Mirza and the former cricket captain of Pakistan - Shoaib Malik, are getting married. This news was confirmed by Sania Mirza's father, Imran Mirza. He also said, that after the marriage, the couple will settle down in Dubai.  When Sania was asked about this, she said: "Dubai is a great place to live in. I've always said it's like a second home. There are so many Indians and Pakistanis there."


The Indian tennis star held a short press conference to share what she felt about the news that has created a buzz in both India and Pakistan. "I'm very happy, it's a very happy occasion. The reception will be held on April 15 in Hyderabad, the exact venue hasn't been fixed yet," she said. The valima will be held in Pakistan, she added. Sania and her family will be applying for Pakistani visas for this. 


Both Sania Mirza and Shoaib Malik has got through a releationship in the past and are now ready to move ahead.


Just a few months ago, Sania Mirza broke up her engagement with Sohrab Mirza. It was a decision made by the couples family, that Sania and Sohrab should get married.


It is reported, that Shoaib and Sania, has been seeing each other since the break up, between Sania and Sohrab. Sania told the media, that they both met each other first time 6-7 years ago, but refused to share, when they become romantically involved. "It's too personal," she said.


But after Shoaib's mother met Sania's parents in India, the families approved the match.


Both Sania and Shoaib have told that they are very happy with this decision. Sania also reported that, this is one of her biggest day in life. On the other hand  Shoaib said, he will support Sania in her career, for as long as she want to play, and will be really happy if she win the world cup in tennis for India.


Now that she was marrying a Pakistani cricketer, Sania was asked if she would be supporting India or Pakistan in a match. "I will support India. I'll also be supporting my husband but I will support India," she said.


She was even asked about having kids, to which she replied with a laugh, "I haven't even gotten married yet, and you're already thinking about my kids! I'm going to be participating in the Olympics in 2012, so there are no plans before that."
