New Delhi, Feb 17 (IANS) Well-known art director and former TV show host Omung Kumar is taking a break from designing sets to go behind the camera for his directorial debut.

'I am directing my own movie. It will come out in December. The script and story is all done, but it's too early to talk about it,' Kumar told IANS in an interview.

'Now I have stopped taking up any more projects for set designing. I was supposed to do the sets for 'Guzaarish', but couldn't. My last film project was 'Chance Pe Dance'. I have stopped taking new projects so that I can work on my own script. All actors are finalised for the film,' he said, but refused to divulge any further details.

Kumar has also wrapped up his non-film project - he just finished designing - Culture Gully, Nautanki Mahal and Showshaa Theatre for Kingdom of Dreams, a Rs.1.5 billion under construction project, which is set to be a key tourist destination in Gurgaon.

According to Kumar, who has designed sets for movies like 'Saawariya', 'Black', 'Ishq Vishk', the place boasts of the best stage not just in India, but also in the world.

'I have worked all over the world in possibly all the theatres possible. I know how the stage should open, what should fly down and when. From experience, I can tell you - this is the best in the world.

'The Nautanki Mahal will be an entire cinematic experience complete with props, side-screen and projections - I want every Indian to be proud of this place,' said Kumar who hosted game show 'Ek Minute' many years back.
