Spoiler Alert! THIS actor's character to DIE in Kalank

Karan Johar's Dharma Productions has several big releases lined up this year. In fact, this seems to be his year for sure. After Akshay Kumar's Kesari, the production house has their big-budget period saga Kalank lined up. Backed by Sajid Nadiadwala as well, the film is touted to be one of the biggest so far that the production house has put their money in. 

The film features an ensemble cast that includes names like Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt, Aditya Roy Kapur, Sonakshi Sinha, Madhuri Dixit-Nene and Sanjay Dutt. Out of them, too will play characters that die in the film. It's a love triangle set against the Partition of India.

"Sonakshi's character suffers from an ailment and dies mid-way into the film. Aditya is paired opposite Sonakshi in the film. While Alia and Aditya are then a couple, she falls in love with Varun's character. Varun plays a Muslim guy and the film also deals with the Hindu-Muslim agony during the Partition. IT's in the climax that Varun also loses his life in order to save Alia and her family. It's an extremely emotional ending to the film where the makers are expecting everyone to fall in love with Alia and Varun's character. Sanjay Dutt, Madhuri Dixit-Nene and Adi too have interesting parts to play, but Varun and Alia are the ones who will walk away with all the tears," a source revealed to us.

The film is scheduled for release on April 19 2019.
