Amitabh Bachchan REVEALS Bal Thackeray SAVED His Life; DEETS HERE

Thackeray' is a biopic of late political leader and Shiv Sena founder Bal Thackeray, starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui who is playing the leader himself and Amrita Rao, who will be appearing as Meenatai Thackeray. The movie is presented by Sanjay Raut and will be hitting the theatres on January 25. 

The trailer received a lot of appreciation from fans as well as the Bollywood celebrities. Everyone was praising Nawazuddin and at the same time are excited about the film.

While speaking about the teaser launch of upcoming film 'Thackrey', veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan shared the fact that he and Bal Thackeray had shared a special bond.

Amitabh Bachchan was invited as a special guest at the film's teaser launch, where he opened up about his acquaintance with the late Indian political leader, Balasaheb. He talked about how Balasaheb stood by his side in the times of difficulty. 

In one of his statements, Bachchan recalled the time he went into a critical state while shooting for 'Coolie'. He was rushed to Mumbai where it seemed like the weather was against him and no ambulance could reach to pick him up. It was Shiva Sena ambulance provided by Bal Thackeray that helped him. 

The actor said in his statement, "Balasaheb helped me when I needed it most. If it had not been for him, I would not have been alive today," He further added that he and Thackeray were not only close but also that he respected him a lot. 

During the trailer launch, Amitabh Bachchan shared other stories of him and Thackeray and told how they both shared a special friendship with each other. He also shared that the Shiv Sena founder treated his wife like a daughter-in-law after meeting her, post-Amitabh's marriage.
