While Bollywood has been strengthing its Biopic numbers, many films on the specific genre were released this year. Adding to it, Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar seems to be adding up to the queue. According to the reports, he is keen on producing a biopic on the Indian Air Force's female pilot Gunjan Saxena and has already roped in Janhvi Kapoor as the female lead.

Meanwhile, there have been developments in the reports which suggest, Janhvi would not fly a helicopter in the film. A closed source revealed, "Karan Johar thinks Janhvi has the right posture and attitude to play Gunjan Saxena. No, Janhvi won't actually fly a helicopter in the film. But she is going to learn how the helicopter works so she looks comfortable inside a helicopter."

The periodic drama is themed on the backdrop of the 1999 Kargil War. Flight Lieutenant Gunjan Saxena, she was awarded for her courage and valour with Shaurya Vir during the Kargil War. She was the first women to receive the honor. Gunjan was a part of the first batch of 25 women who were selected as IAF [Indian Air Force] trainee officers in the year 1995 and she along with another woman officer Srividya were assigned the duty of Kargil War. Furthermore, the film marks Janhvi's first biopic as the leading lady.

This will be Janhvi's fourth film with Dharma Productions. She made her debut with 'Dhadak' and has already been signed for the multi-starrer period drama 'Takht', which will be directed by Karan himself!
