Synopsis: Fryday portrays the story of a failed salesman Rajiv Chabbra also know as Gappu (Varun Sharma) gets caught off-guard as he tries to sell his product to Gagan (Govinda). The day turns to be an epic fry day as the characters of the film get trapped by some or the other issue which lands them in trouble.

Cast: Govinda, Varun Sharma, and Digangana Suryavanshi

Review: The crisp lengthy oneliners and quirk to set himself free, Govinda nails each and every aspect of the comic character he plays. No matter how long the dialogue might be the 90s nostalgia king is brought back by his recent character Gagan. Those distinct steps and dance forms and tacky songs or music are what every 90s kid lived for. Govind's entry in the films is quite memorable to enlist as he gave one of the best entrances in his careers for FryDay. The hilariously packed sequence which is an adaptation from the film Mughal E Azam gives you a stomach-aching laugh which keeps you bouncing off the seat.

Probably, that was the only scene which utilized Govind's talent at its best. Digangana Suryavanshi being a dubutant actress has performed well and her performance is worth watching. The actress has done justice to her role and has caught up with the characters around her really well.

Along with Govinda, the film also stars Sanjay Mishra who is also knownfor his comic characters. He seemed to bond well with Varun Sharma as the amalgamation of current-era and yester-year actors blended adequately.

The screenplay is written by Rajeev Kaul and Manu Rishi Chadha, which is on and off the beat. While Abhishek Dogra's direction is quite plain and simple, the film was saved by Govinda, Varun and Digangana's performance.

Even though, the film entertains its audience, at times there is nothing but a smirk on your lips. Varun has successfully grasped the on-screen chemistry with Govinda, there are punchlines which tend to skip the target. Improvisation is what actually made the film tolerable.

At its best, Govinda could have done much more than what can be expected from him. The failure to utilize such an actor is what brings back to the point thatit'sjust another sleeper hit and nothing more than that.
