When we talk about love, there are innumerable different opinions. For some it's a form of care, for some it's about faith but this time, in "October" you will discover a never-known-before form of love!

A Glimpse of the story:

There is a boy, named Danish Walia, chasing his dreams and pursuing a degree in Hotel Management. Shuili played by Banita is a very bright and aspiring young girl practicing in a high end five star hotel. In a sudden turn of events, their life crosses paths and two then form a strong bond.

About the characters:

Varun Dhawan is seen playing Danish Walia aka 'Dan'. After seeing him in a comic- quirky double role in "Judwaa 2", it was difficult to imagine him in a  complete opposite avatar in 'October'. Yet again, he has surprised us with his sheer hard-work and dedication.

To add a cherry on the cake, he has executed his character so well that you forget that you are watching the same Varun who made you roll on the floor laughing a few months back and now he is leaving you in tears. With such panache he has executed his skills, he has surely out-performed himself.

Amidst high tension scenes as well, he has brilliantly added some lighter moments.

Debutante Banita Sandhu plays 'Shiuli' and she has proved to be the right choice for the film. While she doesn't have much dialogues but through her eyes and expressions, she has nailed it!

What we liked/ disliked:

Director Shoojit Sircar has done a brilliant job in churning out amazing performances from his actor. With such originality he has set every frame that you don't feel like you are watching a film. The story is simple but looks very natural and gives out a very meaning message about love.

However, since there is no entertainment quotient (like no dance numbers or songs) not everyone will like it. Also, it's a slow film so you need to have patience to wait till the end.

The climax is the most unexpected portion, just when you feel that everything is hale and hearty, the story takes and unexpected turn and leaves you with a sweet- sour feeling.

Overall:

'October' is a must watch if you like slow, romantic, soul-stirring films. So grab hold of your near and dear ones and enjoy the 'October' feels in April!
