The Ghazi Attack: Movie Review

Comments  Comments [ 1 ]    By Omkar D Sawant | 16 February 2017 | 1:17am

The film tells the story of an Indian war submarine 'INS Rajput' which carried the naval officers and how they sunk Pakistan's war submarine, PNS Ghazi.

Plot:
The Indian Navy conducts a secret mission wherein a team of three Naval officers with its crew is appointed to carry out the mission. With the required information and orders, they set sail in Indian war submarine INS Rajput. The captain in command is Ranvijay Singh, an officer who never follows orders and believe in the annihilation of the enemy. The second in command is Lt. commander Arjun Varma who is asked to keep a to take over the captaincy in a case of emergency or violation of orders by the actual captain. The submarine officer Devraj has full faith in captain Ranvijay and his tactics!

Pakistan's war submarine PNS Ghazi who is out on a mission against India also had a smart Captain! Ghazi was the finest in terms of speed, area, and all other amenities and India had no submarine to match the level of PNS Ghazi.

The story takes you through ups and downs and then comes the climax scene where you get to know who wins in the end!

Performances

Kay Kay Menon: As always Kay Kay has ensured that you won't forget him after you leave the theatres.

Rana Daggubati: The actor has won our hearts in previous films and this time too he does the same!

Late Om Puri: A man who has conquered hearts even in the west there is no need to say anything about him. Short role but perfect performance!

Taapsee Pannu: Well, I don't why she was there in the film? She is way better... and doing such a short role seems waste! Maybe just for one dialogue which is also shown in the promo of the film she has included in the cast.

Atul Kulkarni: This man can also be considered as an acting powerhouse. He does a commendable job in the film.

What we didn't like:
Over dramatization of some scenes.
The inspiring speech by Arjun Varma brings a new energy in the crew, however, the whole scene looked like fake patriotism.

Overall rating:
2.5* (Two and a half stars)
