Azhar: Movie Review (Love him. Hate him. Judge him but WATCH HIM)

The first line of my review will be, "Go watch it!"

'Azhar' is based on true life events of former Indian cricket team Captain 'Mohammad Azharuddin.'

Story: Since the movie is based on real life incidents, various controversies that Azhar was trapped in have been showcased. How he developed the love for cricket to how things went wrong for him, everything is perfectly exhibited in this short period of time.

There were controversies that the film might show people who were associated with the former Indian cricket team captain and portray them in bad light. But the truth is there is no such scene! There is no such scene that can harm anyone's image except the bookie!

(The film is about how Azharuddin got himself strangled in match fixing scandal and then proved everyone wrong by clearing the false allegation charged on him.)

About the characters:

This is my favorite part of the review!

Emraan Hashmi: Emraan plays the character of Mohammad Azharuddin 'Azhar'.

A cover page of magazine on which Emraan featured described him as, "From serial kisser to being taken seriously!"

Well that's true! The actor blends himself in the character very precisely. The innocence, the style, everything is exhibited very properly by Emraan!

Prachi Desai: She plays the role of Azhar's first wife 'Naureen'. She adds beauty to the film. Watch the film you will surely have Naureen's mesmerizing smile in mind even when you leave the theatre.

Nargis Fakhri: Plays the character of former Bollywood actress Sangeeta Bijlani. Perfect pick for the role we can say!

Kunaal Roy Kapur: Lawyer of Azharuddin; well this character made sure you don't get bored from start to end. Big applause!

Lara Dutta: Plays the character of defense lawyer. She too did her job perfectly! Sometimes you will feel angry when she puts allegation on Azhar.  But that might be because she did so well or you have started feeling bad for Azharuddin.

Gautam Gulati: Who is shown as Ravi, Azhar's teammate sure made his mark in Bollywood industry! Impressive enough!

Why to watch?

Perfect cast! And also you will be watching Kulbhushan Kharbanda after a long time.

The story holds your interest till the end and you will not get bugged for sure.

May be we can call it Bollywood movie of the month!

The music is a good addition to make the film better. 'Itni si baat hain' is man of the match!

Overall:

A good movie to watch this weekend for sure!

A life story with addition of Bollywood entertainment and a happy ending!
