Star Wars Episode 7- The Force Awakens: Movie Review.

Star Wars has been the most anticipated film of 2015. People have been waiting for this part of the series for almost 32 years! Imagine how eager the fans are to watch this film! Well this film is nothing but a treat for Star Wars fans and for our fellow Indians who had to wait an extra week for the film to release; this is the best Christmas present ever!

People have mainly loved the following things about Star Wars:

  • 1.     Light saber battles and the force.
  • 2.     Amazing intergalactic locations.
  • 3.     The epic dogfights between jets and panes of all kinds.
  • 4.     Deep Story line
  • 5.     The awesome one of a kind characters.

The film features some of the best visual effects I have seen. Some of the scenes in this film are so well crafted that they will leave your jaw open!

The light saber fights and battle sequences are choreographed in a way that it will pump your blood ten times faster! Even the initial battle sequences are very nicely dramatized and the presence of the dark side is created.

The film features four different planets on which the characters travel. Each planet is completely unique and has its own flora and fauna. The film takes you through a planet that is fully a desert, a planet covered with dense trees like the rain forest, a snow clad planet and the one that shall not be revealed!

Star Wars has seen a lot of different types of space ships but the iconic X-wings are seen in this film taking on the dark sides destroyer! And also the film features the legendary Millennium Falcon!

Although the film is a sequel to the earlier parts, it seems like a new beginning! In the earlier films we had young resistance fighting against a relatively old empire but in episode 7 it is the opposite!

We see the original characters form the films return in episode 7. Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher return to recreate the Han Solo and Princess Leia love story! John Boyega and Daisy Ridley are phenomenal in the film. Chewbacca is back! The new BB-8 droid is the cutest ever and is fun to watch!

The film is a mixture of just the right amount of comedy, suspense, drama and action. All of these elements have been balanced in the total run time and none of these elements overpower each other.

But as the film progressed towards the end, and since I am a Star Wars fan, tears of joy rolled down my eyes. I had goose bumps when I entered the theatre; I had goose bumps when the movie moved towards the climax. I had chills that ran down my spine even after I left the theatre and as I sit here and re- collect all those beautiful scenes from the movie, I can see goose bumps appear on my arms!

This film is one that you don't want to miss! Even if you are not a fan of Star Wars, just close your eyes and feel the Force!
