26/11/2008, a date that runs a chill down our spine even today; a date when the city that never sleeps (Mumbai) came to a standstill. Many of our loved ones and valiant ones lost their lives to get the situation under control. A city that's known for its glitz and glamour witnessed one of the darkest days in its history. Today after more than six years, bullet marks have been plastered; broken window panes have been repaired; but have the wounds engraved in the hearts healed? The people who caused all the havoc fall into a deep slumber every night, when 1000 others still weep themselves to sleep.

Kabir Khan's Phantom is a fictional take on what should have been done to those murderous people who are roaming the world freely and without a trace of guilt.

Saif Ali Khan plays the role of Daniyal Khan in the movie, which is a court marshalled army officer and strives to get back his dignity. Saif has done a very intense role which much precision. He looks suave and puts together a good show. Even though the movie is a work of fiction, Saif makes it quite believable. The action sequences are very real, especially the Syria sequence in the film, gets you to the edge of your seat. Katrina Kaif essays the role of a Nawaz Mistry who works for an arms and ammunition suppling agency. She does a decent job with her role and proves it that she could work in movies without breaking into a song or looking glamourous.

One performance that has been really worth mentioning is Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub He plays the role of an R&AW agent. He adds comic element to the movie and a fun part in it. The serious side of him is also great. Now is that you realize that he  has been underrated and has given great performances in movies like Jannat 2, Ranjhana and the latest being Tanu Weds Manu Returns. A true performer. Three cheers to him for this one.

Kabir Khan proves it yet again after a Kabul Express, Ek Tha Tiger, Bajrangi Bhaijaan and now Phantom. He churns out yet another edge of the seat thriller. The editing is crisp and impeccable and is great movie watching experience.   This one is a must watch for all those who felt the tremor of the 26/11 attacks and also everyone who feels the accused should be given a strong and sustaining answer.  It is fiction you would wish would come true.
