On the 20th of March, we celebrate International Astrology Day, an event which marks the beginning of the astrological year. On this day, the believers throw their birthstones on all five fingers and head out to see an astrologer to uncover what lies ahead in the future. As it turns out, even our Tinsel Town celebrities put their luck in their birthstones. Two such figures are Amitabh Bachchan and Shilpa Shetty, who have their respective rings firmly put on their fingers as they start new projects. Therefore, BollyCurry takes you on a mysterious journey through Bollywood, where we will shed light on Bollywood celebrities' birthstones. Deepika Padukone's birthstone is garnet, thanks to her January 5th birthday. The deep red colour is the stone of re-energization and stability. Looking at Padukone's career graph, we can clearly see a massive amount of stability due to the numerous hits she produces every year. Perhaps adorning his finger with the purple stone might provide some guidance - perhaps, being the key word.

The much popular Emraan Hashmi was born on the 24^th of March. This lands him the birthstone of aquamarine - the colour is self explanatory in the name itself. The tranquil aqua colour represents honesty, loyalty and good health, all qualities that are to be found in Hashmi. He is one of the finest actors of the Bollywood industry, yet underrated. 'Fussing' is not a term to connect with Hashmi. A man of his caliber does not have many problems and stardom is definitely not one of them. Furthermore, the actor is renowned for speaking his mind along with his loyalty to his friends. The aquamarine colour also symbolizes youth, happiness and beauty. Not much to deny there, we'll say. After all, not just anyone can be tagged with "serial kisser" but still be highly sought after.

Jaya Bachchan, wife of Amitabh Bachchan, happened to land herself with the best birthstone possible for someone as stunning as her. Her April 4th birthday results in the birthstone diamond, a stone worn by ladies across the world regardless of the astrological aspect. The saying that diamonds are a girl's best friend is indeed true however, they also do more than just highlight your beauty. Not known to many, the stone is also the eternal symbol of love, fidelity and most of all courage. All of which are replicated in Mrs. Bacchan's personality. Her love story and continous run of a successful marriage is proof of her love, fidelity and sincerity to her husband.

The Exotic actress, Priyanka Chopra was born on 18^th of July and thus her birthstone is Ruby. The stone is also the lord of all gems because of its rarity and beauty. Therefore, it comes as no surprise that this is the desi girl's birthstone. Her talent is rare and her beauty is incomparable, making her a true a gem among all the stones. The ruby also represents fire, passion and success. Undoubtedly, our dear Chopra defines all three terms. The fire to succeed and the passion to achieve the impossible. It's no hidden secret that success follows the Chopra girl wherever she goes, whether she does it by singing or acting.

Chocolate boy Ranbir Kapoor's birth falls on September 28th and that makes his birthstone sapphire. The absolutely beautiful, blue stone symbolizes truth, sincerity, consistency and loyalty of the heart. Looking back at his extremely successful career graph, one can easily see the consistency of his work. The chocolate boy is a dear favourite among the audience and it shows in the hits he delivers. However, on a personal note, his stone may not be favouring him, especially with his last breakup. Junior Kapoor has effectively proven to the world that he is not the most loyal fish out there. While the lad may be loyal to his work, loyalty to his heart (and others' hearts) has taken a back seat. Maybe he should choose sapphire as a wedding ring?
