New Delhi, Nov 17 Actress Juhi Chawla felt ecstatic when her idol, melody queen Lata Mangeshkar, complimented her during a casual conversation.

'And this evening I happened to speak to Lataji ... And she told me...I'm one of her favorite actresses ...!!!!. Yyyaaayyy!!' Juhi posted on her Twitter page Wednesday night.

Legendary Lata has sung for Juhi in numbers like 'Tu mere saamne, main tere saamne', 'Darwaza band karlo' and 'Khamoshiyan gungunaane lagi'.

'Lataji is my idol...Whenever she playbacked a song and I enacted it...I felt so blessed!! Told her that myself..But am so thrilled . Can't believe she said what she did to me...I can't stop smiling...It's the beeesssttt compliment eeevvveerrr !!! Thank you Lataji,' added the 44-year-old actress.

Sonakshi comfortable with Indian look

Sonakshi Sinha shot to fame with her rustic village belle look in 'Dabangg', and the actress is still in love with her desi avatar. She says she wouldn't mind playing a simpleton again.

'Why not? You know, I am an Indian, I am a Hindi film heroine, and I am getting roles. There is no dearth of work and all the roles coming my way have been Indian. I am definitely open to doing western roles but if people see me fit enough to play that Indian heroine, I am absolutely okay with that,' Sonakshi said during the launch of her film 'Lootere'.

Sonakshi, who plays the role of a traditional Bengali woman in 'Lootere', has a lot of meaty projects in hand like 'Rowdy Rathore' and 'Joker'. However, she is upset about losing out on 'Race 2', which she had to forgo for 'Dabangg 2'.

'It was unfortunate because I was looking forward to it and I had signed on the film because I had felt it would be great to be a part of that film. But the dates were shifted forward and I couldn't accommodate the film as 'Dabangg 2' is starting in March,' she said.

'Lootera' is a love story set in the 1950s and stars Ranveer Singh opposite Sonakshi and is written and directed by Vikramaditya Motwane of 'Udaan' fame.

Nigaar wants to lose weight

In a bid to loose a few inches, actress Nigaar Z. Khan has resorted to a weight loss treatment at a Mumbai spa.

The dusky beauty will soon be seen along with her sister Gauahar Khan on a reality show - 'The Khan sisters' on UTV Bindass.

She had been trying various diets to get rid of a few inches that have been bothering her, but in vain.

'I will soon be seen in a reality show with my sister and I just want to make sure I put my best foot forward... and I don't think there is any harm in taking a little help from experts to get rid of those last few inches that are always the most difficult to get rid of,' said Nigaar.

She will undergo a procedure called vibrator weight loss therapy, where one has to wear a vibrating belt on the spot where you want to loose inches. A special liquid gel is applied on the spot prior to the treatment and the procedure lasts for about 30 minutes.

Nigaar will be seen battling her weight in the first episode of 'The Khan sisters', starting Friday.
