Mumbai, Aug 20 (IANS) Megastar Amitabh Bachchan, who is usually very prompt in expressing his views on major issues, either tweeting or blogging on it, has surprisingly remained tight-lipped on the pulsating movement stirred by Anna Hazare against corruption.

Bachchan reserved his personal view on the countrywide agitation stimulated by the Gandhian activist, who chose to undergo fasting until the anti-corruption Lokpal Bill is passed in parliament.

'In a democracy, everyone has right to express his or her views. None of the countries across the world support corruption. If anyone wants to protest against corruption he has the right to do so. Everyone knows the law and order system of India. If one abides by it, then there is no problem,' Bachchan told reporters Friday night.

Bachchan was announced as the brand ambassador of newly-launched sports utility vehicle Force One by Force Motors here.

Hazare had planned to begin his fast for a stronger Lokpal Bill at the J.P. Park in New Delhi Tuesday.

Delhi Police imposed certain conditions before the protest could be allowed. Hazare refused to agree, after which police detained him and his associates Tuesday.

He was sent to Tihar Jail and was subsequently released Tuesday night, but he refused to leave the prison until he was allowed to carry on the fast without any conditions.

Hazare, who started his fast Aug 16 inside Tihar Jail, has now moved to the Ramlila ground.
